epyShield™ wearable with chest strap

product

A B2B safety platform that enables decision-making driven by health data, keeping non-desk workers safe on their work-related missions.

why it matters

Managing heavy jobs and operating in stressful and harsh environments, non-desk workers are most affected by workplace accidents. By including health-data in occupational safety, we allow for early detection of the biggest underlying causes of avoidable accidents:

heat exhaustion

01

Non-desk workers suffer from getting too hot - due to outside temperatures, physiological strain, or their protective clothing.

fatigue

02

Non-standard schedules such as shift work is needed - but makes it more difficult to perform mental and physical activities.

offline workforce

03

Still lacking technology solutions that make their lives easier, non-desk workers often experience a disconnect from their team.

how it works

Our solution combines health data critical to keep non-desk workers safe with a software platform tailored to the needs of occupational safety.

epyShield™ wearable worn on upper arm

epyGuard™

With human-centric sensors still missing in occupational safety, we are proud to have developed a wearable that collects exactly those vital signs relevant to keep a worker safe – including sweat, the 1st reaction our body has towards stress.

epyShield™ comes in two application options: either as a torso belt, or as an upper-arm strap.

epyShield™

Our safety platform consolidates all safety-relevant data in one place and visualizes information in accordance with industry-specific health & safety norms.

Our live dashboard allows health & safety supervisors to access and react to live team data.

Our historic dashboard allows safety-relevant roles to access and analyze aggregated and pseudonymized data to improve workflows and decision-making.

advantages

personalized safety

01

While occupational safety in the past has largely been process- and incident-based, we focus on the human side of safety.

real-time safety

02

We are able to detect early signs of physical exhaustion and keep non-desk workers safe in real-time.

workflow intelligence

03

Our historic dashboard allows workflow optimization on the basis of aggregated data to increase safety and reduce costs.

faq

  • A single battery charge lasts for up to 48 hours before it has to be recharged.

  • Up to 50 hours of data can be stored on the epyShield™ wearable itself.

The data is transmitted via low power bluetooth (BLE) to a phone or tablet that act as a gateway device and for a live view of the data.

  • epyShield™ is capable of acquiring all relevant vital signs for early detection of exhaustion, including sweat - the 1st reaction our body has towards stress.

Our proprietary ThermoTwin® model takes into account individual physiological differences and detects when a person starts to derail physically.

  • Health data is the most sensitive data there is and we honor that with an inherently safe epyGuard™ platform:

    • Only the person who generates the health data sees his/her data in detail. By invitation only, an occupational physician can access his/her data for health check-ups, too.

    • Supervisors and safety experts only see aggregated data (live in form of a traffic-light model status indicator, historically only team-level data).

Further, our clients are free to use non-personal identifiers for usernames instead of the workers' actual names.

  • Absolutely. However, we currently focus solely on working with best-in-class sensors who have been especially developed to safeguard workers and their environment.
